Suet is rendered beef kidney fat with yummy food mixed into the cakes.  Most suet has peanuts and/or fruit added to help target certain birds in your yard.  Fat is necessary for a birds survival in winter and helps them have strong, healthy young in the spring and summer.

Simply Suet Cakes are straight suet, no seed, peanuts or fruit.  These are also a solution suet cake, starlings and grackles do not like straight suet, but your good birds will warm up to it in no time.  Squirrels will also generally leave these cakes alone.  (Item #0201)
